A tall, gracious, kind and good-looking preacher from the south,
months before his 100th birthday he died, but that was his path in life.
He used what God gave him, His Word whenever he opened his mouth?
He preached God's Word unabashed, with no apology to thousands upon
thousands of people.
He tried to show those profound Godly Words honestly and freely to all who
He was known all around the world, as a Godly and righteous evangelist.
His humbleness showed through in his powerful speeches.
He would usually say, "Come and know this Jesus, He loves you."
Yes, some saw him as a "larger than life" figure. But he was just a man, but an
anointed man with a love for God and His Holy Word.
"Come just as you are, Jesus is waiting," he would usually say
No, "Jesus is everything we need," was a favorite line in his typical public
My humble adoration for this anointed man was genuine and so welcoming in
He cared that we all knew this free gift of Jesus, which was "Salvation."
He touched me with his faithful obedience to share God's Word without shame
but with conviction
Because he shared God's Word, many walked from darkness into the light.
He opened many earthly eyes shut by the evil one, through the Holy Spirit.
